Similan Islands
The
Similan islands, 55 nautical miles north of Phuket, are a
divers dream destination. Surrounding the nine islands
with their gorgeous white sand beaches, are some of the worlds
premier dive sites.
Incredibly varied underwater scenery changes from one side
of the islands to the other, attracting an amazingly diverse
marine life. On the eastern side, hard coral reefs and shallow
coral gardens provide a mecca for underwater photographers.
While on the west side, massive stacked boulders have formed
caverns and swim-throughs that provide hide-outs for elusive
sea creatures.
